ATTENTION
New DSA Requirements
Effective August 12, 2011, all sexually intact cattle and domestic bison (regardless of age) must be identified with official individual identification prior to leaving the DSA.
Please view the memo from the State Montana Department of Livestock for more information regarding this requirement.
Download the Designated Surveillance Area (DSA) Pamphlet containing general information and recent changes to boundary and identification requirements.
More information is available at www.liv.mt.gov
Attention Cattle Producers
Since May 15th, 2009 ALL cattle over 12 months of age (excluding steers and spayed heifers) from the following 7 counties: Park, Gallatin, Madison, Beaverhead, Stillwater, Sweet Grass and Carbon will be required to be bled before the sale. If possible we would like to have your cattle either Saturday or Sunday before our Monday Sale!
Attention Cattle Producers
in Area 1
Cows & Bulls going directly to slaughter have been made exempt from the bleeding rule so they will NOT have to be bled prior to sale.
We hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience for anyone but this is a new requirement placed on us and we don't have a choice to follow the rules. If possible, we would like to have your cattle early to be bled before the sale.
